We want to have a block party; what do we need to do?

Please fill out a Block Party Application and turn it in to the Police Department.  A copy of the application can be downloaded by clicking here.

Our neighborhood wants to establish a Neighborhood Watch; what do we need to do?

Please contact the Police Department at (815) 467-2298 Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM -4:30 PM.

Does the Village of Minooka allow leaf burning?

No, the Village does not allow leaf, trash, or yard waste burning within the village limits.

A street light is out in my neighborhood, how do I report it?

No, the Village of Minooka does not require vehicle stickers.

No, the Village of Minooka does not require alarm registration.

What is the curfew for the Village of Minooka?

If you are 16 or under, on the weekdays it is 11:00 p.m. On the weekends it is 12:00 a.m.  If you are 17 or over you do not have a curfew.

I am going on vacation; can the police watch my house?

Yes, a vacation house check form must be filled out at the Police Department during business hours. Monday through Friday. 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

What county is Minooka in?

The Village of Minooka crosses into three counties. On the west it lies in Grundy County. On the north it is in Kendall County and on the east it is in Will County.

What are the types of garbage stickers?

Any additional garbage bags after the garbage can is full must have a yellow sticker on it. A yellow sticker costs one dollar each. Large items such as televisions or tires require a green sticker that costs five dollars each. White goods (Refrigerators, Stoves, etc.) require a pink sticker and cost 25 dollars each.
