I serve public office - to contribute to the community that I live in. I feel that my local upbringing, education and experiences are well suited to serve the village residents. It is my desire to assure that growth is controlled and becomes an asset to the residents.

The most important thing I do as a trustee is - ask questions (as coined from another trustee). As a decision maker, it must be assured that each issue is fully understood and that the consequences of my actions are in the best interest of the village and fellow residents. While the vote results may not always be in my favor, a split decision on an issue just brings to light that a motion has been debated and that the collective positions of the board members result in the best decisions for the residents.

I would like to be remembered for - trying to make a difference and being a good role model for my family and fellow citizens. While it is a challenge to prioritize one’s time in today’s busy lifestyle and there is no one right approach, I strive for a balance between community involvement and family interests and hopefully have earned the trust that my intentions are in the best interests of all. If I had to name a pet interest in village development, it would be infrastructure/transportation including the multi-use path network.

The village accomplishment I am most proud of is - our comprehensive plan. It is the culmination of countless hours of input by many people. I was able to contribute to it both as a planning/zoning board member and as a trustee. With the comprehensive plan, Minooka has a documented vision that includes efficient roadways/bike paths, regional parks, open space preservation and well-planned zoning.

The thing I like best about Minooka is - that it is my home, filled with my heritage and dreams. It is where I grew up and where my children are growing up.

20 years from now America will be - the same great country that we all covet, a place where we can live where we choose and aspire to be what we want. The population will increase and technology will advance just as they have in the past 20 years. This evolution and the people behind it are what make America great.

A charity that I am passionate about is - blood donation. It is truly a selfless gift that has the potential to save countless lives.

I wish I had more time to - exercise. I am an avid runner but exercise remains a second priority to my family and work commitments and not something that I find enough time for.

A book/magazine/movie/TV show/CD I recommend is - My reading is mostly through magazines about my interests, which include running, investing, homebuilding and current events. I watch little TV. I enjoy all types of music but prefer classic rock.

A little known secret about me is - that I am a drummer.
