Pesticide Notifications

In accordance with the Illinois Pesticide Application on Rights-of-Way Notification Act (Public Act 103-0976), which took effect on January 1, 2025, we are posting upcoming pesticide application notifications on this page. This new law requires municipalities and government entities to provide 24-hours notice to the public before applying a pesticide on a public right-of-way within municipal boundaries. Each notice includes important details such as the date of application and location, name and type of pesticide to be used, reason for use, concentration, any special instructions, as well as contact information for both the applicator and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
